Nadya came to yoga 15 years ago, looking for a way to de-stress after a long day at an office desk on Wall Street. Discovering a deeper interest in eastern philosophy and yoga, Nadya embarked on a quest around the globe, traveled to China, Tibet and Nepal, and participated in a two-month Ashtanga Yoga intensive at the Holistic Yoga Ashrama in Kathmandu. Later, while in London UK, Nadya received a Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification from The Yoga Education Institute and, in addition, studied pre-natal Yoga. Later, she received a Yoga Alliance Certification from Mama Nirvana’s Teacher Training program in Amherst, MA. Originally from Kazakhstan, Nadya is fluent in Russian and conversant in Mandarin, with background and degrees in International Relations, East Asian Studies, Social Anthropology, and Education. Nadya’s dynamic, breath centered classes are inspired by her background in Ashtanga Yoga, and by her interest in Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy. Her seamless sequencing and clear guidance create a fun, safe and supportive space for the practitioner of any level to fully engage in a mindful, and progressively challenging practice. Nadya’s classes take practitioners of all ages and abilities on a journey through breathing exercises, energizing posture sequences, soulful meditation, and deep relaxation. Some have commented that Nadya’s classes are a ‘full package, a spa!’
